Cyprus

Paphos, part 2

We had grand plans for things to see in Paphos, but after the proposal and lunch, we were short on time and had a hard time finding our way around. Don’t even get me started about parking in Cyprus!  There is sheer chaos around here because people just park wherever they want, and any way they want!  It’s crazy!  We walked down the boardwalk and found Paphos Castle…a relic from the 13th century.

It changed hands a lot over the years, but is in remarkably good condition overall:

We were able to go up to the roof to get a really good view:

Yes, that is Alex trying to stand up in the doorway….we’ve grown taller as a society over the years!  Doorways were small in Germany and Belgium when I was there 2 years ago.  Crazy!

Scaffolding for renovations…to keep this building around for generations to come!  We learned a lot about the castle and the history…it was really neat.

And finally…the 2 sisters having some Greek Coffee…and enjoying each other’s company.
